    ABOUT THE FIRM

Stanley L. Friedman has been an attorney for 28 years and founded his own law firm in 1995.  Mr. Friedman has handled a diverse and impressive roster of clients, including major insurance carriers, such as Pacific Mutual Life, Metropolitan, General American and Fireman’s Fund.  He has been successful in handling cases for American Express, E.F. Hutton and Prudential-Bache. Other notable clients included airlines such as Pan Am, American, and Flying Tiger. National and multi-national entities, such as Daimler-Benz Aktiengesellschaft, have relied on his skillful representation.

Once an Assistant U.S. Attorney and a federal prosecutor, today more than half of Friedman’s law practice is devoted to the rights and interests of those facing white collar criminal allegations—the types of cases that involve criminal allegations such as public corruption; insurance, securities, credit card and computer fraud; embezzlement; tax crimes; money laundering; Ponzi schemes; counterfeiting of U.S. currency; among others.  One of his most notable cases of late, in which Friedman has been involved, is the corruption scandal of elected officials in the city of Bell, California. Friedman represents that town’s mayor (now, former mayor) as well as another former Southern California official, the former city manager of the city of Cudahy. The firm has also represented medical doctors, accountants, attorneys, pharmacists, other elected officials, government employees, corporate officers and corporations.

Additionally, approximately thirty percent of the firm’s caseload involves healthcare disputes.  The Friedman firm has represented both individuals and mid-sized entities such as clinics, pharmacies and other independently-owned health care facilities.  The remaining twenty percent of the firm’s efforts involve appellate work.  Friedman has argued many cases in both the State and federal courts of appeal and has handled cases in the United States and California Supreme Courts, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and the California Courts of Appeal.

The firm takes a prudent approach with all cases and has accumulated an impressive track record over the years.
